2013 New Year’s Goals

Happy New Year! For the past 2 years I’ve made my list of goals for the year, and thought it would be good to share. So here it is, my list of goals for this year (alternatively titled, “Woah! Dream Big!”).

Work Related

* Get in to Grad School

* Complete 4 classes for my Master’s (MS in Market Analytics)

* Do a unique/fun presentation

* Write 28 blog posts in 2013 (1 down!)

* Grow readership for www.connieoreyes.com

* Read at 3 different reading series (I have never done this before)

* Write book (I have a 10 step master plan and am on step 4, writing the book. This is also the longest step, hopefully.)

** Write the first five chapters by May

* Get book published

* Do 25 crunches every day this year. (Going to use this to start the day and as a reminder for this list of goals.)

*  Run Illinois half marathon in April. (Joined the gym!)

* Raise $2,500 for the National MS Society

* Run fun races (Color Run, Zombie Run, Cinco de Miler, Turkey, Santa, etc.)

* Learn to swim 1 mile

* Get to goal weight

* Give less awkward hugs (I get too jumbled when saying goodbye it’s always a mess)

* Better eye contact o_O

* Only go to Starbucks twice a month

* Only buy lunch at work twice a month

* Save $$$

What are your goals for 2013? And do you have any tips on how I can check off mine?

    Good luck on your goals! My biggest goal for 2013 is move out of my parents house, preferably into a house or condo that I own. And also figure out how to “race” longer distances.

      Good luck to you too Maggie! It’s kind of exciting starting out fresh knowing we have the year ahead of us to get things done. =)

        Are you familiar with Dr. Lucia Capacchione? She and Dr. Peggy Van Pelt wrote a book caelld Putting Your Talent to Work lots of art journaling. Lots of written journaling using your NON-dominant hand. Interesting and enlightening. Dr. Lucia has other books as well. Right up your alley.

    Good luck, Connie! Hmmm… This makes me want to put my own goals down on paper. (Makes me more accountable!)

    Beautiful work! It’s so nice to see such beautiful and iirnmsipg work. Maybe I’ll get the confidence to try. (I know I wouldn’t be at your level,but I think it would be fun and theraputic.) And maybe one day I will take a class. Thank you again for sharing.
