Don’t ask me to bring you food on Twitter

I see this at least once a day on Twitter- someone is extremely lazy and asks the internet for a favor.  This varies in style but it’s always the same premise. They’re usually in a very whiney state and desiring something that is extremely accessible to them if they weren’t so cheap or lazy. Here’s a formula to give you an example of said tweet:

@[Random Person]: [Insert whining descriptive] I want [noun, typically food] right now! [Plea+emoticon attempting to indicate cuteness].

Here’s an illustration:

@IAmADork: WAAHHHH! I want a peppermint mocha frappucino right now, but I don’t know how to tie my shoes!! Someone carry me to Starbucks ;).

This is by far the most annoying thing on the internet EVER.

I’m a full-fledged, grade A lazy person myself and I fully admit to texting people to bring me food, BUT NOT AN ENTIRE SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLET. It’s more like Hey greatest sister ever, can you bring me a cheeseburger on your way home? Not, hey random followers who are mostly spam or people who are too nice to unfollow my lame self, can you come to my residence to bring me food even though I haven’t met you in real life and will most likely never return the favor because I’m too cheap?

These types of messages make me want to drive to the person’s house, pull them by the ear, drive them to their destination, pull them out of the car (still holding them by the ear mind you) to their desired item and saying THERE, WAS THAT SO DIFFICULT?

But that would require effort. And still waiting to hear back about that cheeseburger…

I think just in general I hate tweets where people think they are being super funny and/or clever when really they are just showing they are far from being either. Although I’m sure there are many who do not appreciate or understand my sense of humor.
