Greetings and Salutations!

…well, it seemed like an appropriate start for this post. After all, I was crowned RedEye’s newest member of their group called RedEye Royalty. 

Who? What? Where? you say?

Well, for those of you not in Chicago (like that person who follows me from Vegas, hi if you’re reading and not spam! *waves*) The RedEye is a newspaper that’s part of the Tribune, and its more funner, for lack of a better grammatically correct sentence.  They have things like events and bar specials but also have news articles for those that can read and don’t use words like funner.

Now, the ROYALTY group is a highly selective group of readers (the count is 16 to be exact) who often submit things to the paper via twitter, facebook, etc. and sometimes get their stuff in the actual hard copy paper. (So, every time I bug my friends on facebook w/ a status that says I’M IN THE REDEYE, it contributed to this).

What it boils down to though, is that while before I was kiiinddaa a big deal, now I am. =D I’ve been TELLING AC Slater since we’ve met how much of a bigshot I am, so imagine his excitement now that I have tangible evidence to further inflate my already gigantic ego. =D

What type of fancy schmancy perks does a Royalty member get you ask? Why, I’ll tell you! First, I get a cool “badge” for my Twitter pic that you can see if you go on my twitter account. Also, I get a tour of the Tribune which is cool. But most importantly, I get to blog via their website under the RedEye Royalty icon here:

HOW COOL IS THAT! So basically I can blog, post it on RedEye’s website, and have all the world see how crazy I truly am! I’m very excited about this, mainly because it seems like a lot of the famous bloggers write for various publications, and now, so do I. Fame? Is that you? Oh, well won’t you come in!

Now, what does this mean to you? My faithful blog followers and generated spam? Well, not much. I think what I’ll do is either post anything I post there on here too, or maybe post a link of when I blog on the Royal page. I’m not sure yet, but if you have enough time, then it’d be awesome if you’d wander over to the Royal blog and possibly comment so I look cool and appear to have followers. I’d be ever so grateful, and even let you hold my scepter (but no crown wearing, I don’t want you to stretch it out 😉

So ta ta for now, my chariot awaits. Actually, AC Slater’s outside honking, so actually my Toyota awaits…

WAIT WAIT WAIT! I forgot to say I reached 500 visitors on my blog! Which means people clicked into my site 500 times! Thank you everyone who comes here, I appreciate it and hope I somehow brighten the crazy parts of your day. =)
